Just wanted to share my thoughts here. I have two beautiful kids. Last night they were sleeping next to me and I just cuddled up to them, kissed them all over and what a beautiful aroma they had on them. The smell of ur baby (mayb to the mother alone) is heavenly. My kids arent babies exactly. They and 5 and 3 and a half. But I enjoy their innocence every moment of the day. And their blind faith and trust in me to do everything for them makes me feel really nice :-)
OK OK OK .... I know you all must be thinking that I have angels from heaven sitting in my house... :-) ... But all this only when they are asleep.... U should see them when they are awake thru the day .... Solid brats .. but cute brats ....Very very naughty . Every task... to make them go to the toilet, to bathe , to eat, to study, to control and discipline them is a task which uses up quite a few of my calories each day.
But thats the joy of parenting. I scold them, spank them but cuddle and kiss them too.
And I've come to realise that all this is just for a few years. Soon they'll outgrow us, become independent, have their friends to hang out with and we might have to take a back seat. But thats the cycle of life. And we too might start having our own preoccupations.
So lets enjoy it when we have it.
So thats the JOY OF PARENTING :-)
I look at so many couples trying hard for a baby and I thank GOD for giving me this chance. AMEN.
